A CELEBRATION of the late Leigh-born Buzzcocks lead singer Pete Shelley will take place tomorrow evening, Saturday, June 15.
The Leigh-born musician, who grew up on Milton Close, died following a heart attack at his home in Estonia in December.
The gig will be held at The Abbey pub in Leigh from 6.30pm where a host of bands will be on stage.
Berkshire-based musician Guy Dwelly from Pinewood County will be performing the band’s tribute song to Pete, Without You.
Eight-year-old Emily Hamilton, Pete's cousin's daughter, will be singing her own version of Buzzcocks track Ever Fallen In Love with a backing group.
