RESIDENTS are being asked to nominate their unsung heroes for an upcoming award.
The Volunteer Awards were launched by Trafford Council earlier this month as part of National Volunteer Week.
Award categories include volunteer; young volunteer – under 18; group or organisation that supports its volunteers; and a business that supports its employees to volunteer
All nominees will be invited to a presentation hosted by the Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Rob Chilton, at Trafford Live at Trafford Town Hall on July 21.
The mayor said: “Volunteers and the groups they give their time to make a massive difference to Trafford’s communities and our residents.
“This is a small gesture to say thank you on behalf of the Council to them, and the businesses that support their employees to volunteer.
“Trafford would not be the great place to live and work without our volunteers.”
Nominations can be made by visiting www.trafford.gov.uk/volunteerawards before June 30.
All nominees will be notified by July 5.
