A STREET dance academy is set to celebrate its 25th year and recent competition wins with a show of dancers and previous members.

SDZ Dance Academy are set to celebrate 25 years in the business this Saturday, June 29, but after an exciting month of competition podium positions this month they have even more to be happy about. The academy entered four dance teams at different age groups in the Hip Hop UK competition at the Wright Robinson Sports Village in Manchester with Toxic Babes in the under 10s intermediates taking first place. Under 10s Mini Mojos earned fourth place, the over 16s intermediates 'the Re-Born' gained second place and it was third place for under 14 group Elite Nation.

Founder of SDZ Alison Jones, said: "I'm so happy with everyone, especially the little ones who keep improving, everyone is having to keep the competition standards up as well as re-learn older routines for the show, it should be great night as all the teams will be performing including previous members and dancers, its something that I am very much looking forward to."

n Tickets for the anniversary event are £14 for adults and £10 for children and includes hot buffet and licensed bar and raffle. Doors open 7.30pm and a disco runs from 10pm till midnight.
