A MAN has been air-lifted to hospital after being hit by car trying to catch a runaway dog in Moreton.
Emergency services were called at around 12pm today (Thursday, June 20) following reports that a man had been struck by a Ford Mondeo car.
The man, in his 30s, is believed to have been driving when he saw the dog with no lead.
He stopped his car to try and catch the dog but was then struck by the Ford Mondeo.
The man was taken to hospital by an air ambulance for treatment to suspected leg and head injuries.
Police road closures are currently in place from Bidston roundabout towards Moreton and drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
