THIS photograph shows demolition works in front of Leigh Town Hall.
The picture of the Market Square area was snapped on July 16, 1957.
The grade II-listed town hall building is currently undergoing refurbishment works which is set to be completed in spring 2020.
The project will provide a new home for the archives and offer museum and exhibition spaces.
