A MAN is fighting for his life after the car he was driving crashed into a building in Wigan last night, Sunday.
The driver, who is believed to be in his 20s, was travelling in a Nissan Micra along Pottery Road shortly after 9.20pm when it left the road and collided with a property.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Police have launched an appeal asking for witnesses of the incident to contact them.
Police Constable Mark Ratcliffe, from Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “The driver has sustained life-threatening injuries and our thoughts are with him and his family at this difficult time.
“As our investigations continue into the circumstances of the collision, we are appealing for witnesses who saw the silver Nissan Micra and anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the vehicle to come forward.”
