RESIDENTS in Lowton lost their water supply earlier today (Monday) due to a "technical fault" in the mains.
A statement issued at 12.41pm by United Utilities said: "You may have noticed that your water is coming out of your tap slower than usual or may have gone off altogether.
"We have one of our inspectors looking into this at the moment and as soon as we know what the cause of the problem is we’ll let you know.
"We’re sorry about this and will try and get your taps flowing normally as quickly as we can. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know what’s causing the problem."
United Utilities says water supplies have now been restored.
Water should now be flowing in #WA3 #Lowton. Our engineers have fixed the technical fault on our water mains. We're sorry if this affected you & thank you for your patience. If you have discoloured water please see https://t.co/jLtP1djNeI.
