A THREE-year-old boy is celebrating after winning a flower competition.
Jacob Fowler, from Tyldesley, was crowned champion of the "Sheriff In Bloom" children's display event.
It was organised by Sheriffs Drive resident Carole Lealand, who invited entries for flower pots or tubs.
There were 38 flower displays including eight junior submissions.
Councillors Nazia Rehman and Stephen Hellier judged the contest and presented awards to the best four displays.

Mrs Lealand said: “Sheriffs Drive is a clean and beautiful street and I wanted to highlight the efforts of the residents who have invested their time and efforts in their gardens to make the surroundings welcoming and full of pride.
"I thank the residents and especially the children who took part in the contest and I hope next year’s competition will be even bigger and better.”
Tea, cakes and scones were also served to guests.
Cllr Nazia Rehman said the competition is a "great way to bring the community together".
She added: "Looking after and beautifying a garden adds value to a house or a street but, more importantly, it gives the community a sense of pride and has a positive impact on our environment.
"Greener spaces are excellent for our mental health as well."
