A BEAUTY spot in Leigh will play host to open air promenade theatre shows of a classic production next week.

“Stolen Thread” Productions CIC’s version of Tim Beasley and Sherry Hughes’ adaptation of Wind in the Willows will be performed at Pennington Flash Country Park.

There will be six evening shows between Tuesday, July 30 and Saturday, August 3 as well as three matinees

Owner of A Will and A Way acting school and member of Stolen Thread Productions CIC, Will Travis, said: “I personally can’t wait to bring this re-make of an old classic and a firm family favourite to the people of this region.

“For too long we’ve been overlooked and we here at Stolen Thread are very keen to remedy this, hence the reason why the tickets for this event are aimed at inclusivity, we’re hoping that people will come in their droves to enjoy this fabulous show.

“The piece will be ideal for all age groups, and let’s hope that the weather will be kind to us.”

The play has created opportunities for people in the area to be part of the professional show.

Wind In The Willows is also being performed at Davyhulme Park in Urmston this week.

A Will and A Way Acting School and Little Big Theatre Workshop, from Atherton and Urmston respectively, is giving a helping hand by providing the ensemble cast.
