THE parking spots where the most penalty charge notices (PCN) have been issued by the council in Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley in the last three years have been revealed.
Statistics from a Freedom of Information Request submitted by the Journal to the local authority found Spinning Gate Car Park in Leigh is top of the table in each of the 12 month periods.
But the number of PCNs issued at the site has fallen from 715 between May 2, 2016 to May 1, 2017 to 437 from May 2, 2018 to May 1, 2019.
The Avenue in Leigh, which has remained in second place in all of the year-long charts, has also dropped from 529 to 271 in the same period.

In Atherton, the road where the most PCNs were issued was Market Street in all three years.
The figure on the town centre road from May 2, 2016 to May 1, 2017 was 67 which has fallen to 46 between May 2, 2018 to May 1, 2019.
The road with the second highest number of PCNs issued in the town in the last two years is High Street.
