A SPORTS home business is thriving after moving into a much larger industrial estate development.

Mclaren Sports Homes set up base at Moss Industrial Estate in Leigh last year but has now moved into a unit that is twice its size.

The firm specialises in bespoke sports homes, race vans and motorhome conversions.

It is the first company to move into the new development at the industrial estate, Rivington Court, which will eventually contain thirteen units.

The final phase is due to begin construction in the autumn.

Mclaren Sports Homes director Craig Lewis said: “Moss Industrial Estate was able to understand the needs of our growing business and find us an industrial unit which would allow us to increase our efficiency and give us the opportunity to grow.

"We produce high quality, customised motorhome conversions and this modern unit, on a well-kept industrial estate, reflects really well on our business.”

The company's new base includes three vehicular doors and twice the workshop space, meaning they can work on a larger number of vehicles at the same time.

The business has also gained a much bigger office space and larger staff kitchen to accommodate its growing team, as well as a customer reception area.

George Moss and Sons owns Moss Industrial Estate.

Managing director at George Moss and Sons, Sebastian Moss, said: “Rivington Court is an exciting new development of industrial units, which are completely bespoke and can be fitted out to suit the needs of each individual business.

“We take great care of our tenants and want them to stay with us so if we can help them to grow then we will do everything we can to accommodate that.

"Maclaren Sports Homes is doing incredibly well and we are really pleased that we have been able to support them by creating a workspace in which they can continue to thrive.”
