IT has been quite a year for a cat who spent a long spell in the care of a rescue centre.

Grandmother-of-two Lynn Gibson, from Leigh, took black cat Seth home after being greeted by him at the Cats Protection centre in Warrington.

Seth, who is aged 10, had spent 170 days at the centre after being left on the streets by its owner.

And a year on, the cat charity got in touch with Lynn asking if she would be happy for a picture of Seth to be included in its 2020 calendar.

Lynn, 58 who works at Newton-Le-Willows Blinds at Leigh Market, said: "I just fell in love with him and had to take him home.

"He has settled in nicely in the last 12 months and is like a father figure to our other cat Sam, who is 18 months old.

"They both like having pictures of themselves taken.

"I was well chuffed when I found out Seth was going to be in the calendar.

"He is known by me and my husband Allan as the superstar in our house."
