POLICE used a stinger to stop a stolen vehicle after a pursuit from Leigh to Atherton.
The vehicle was picked up by an unmarked patrol police car and a chase ensued through Leigh towards Atherton.
Police say the pursuit was brought to a safe conclusion with use of a stinger to stop the vehicle.
Officers say that one person has been detained on suspicion of numerous offences.
