MP Chris Green has launched a competition to celebrate local shops and their contribution to our high streets.
The politician is asking his constituents to nominate their favourite store within the Atherton and Bolton West boundary he covers.
The top nominees will then form a shortlist before the best local shop in the area is named.
Mr Green said: “Our local high streets play a vital role in our communities, offering a wide variety of services and products.
“This is why I wanted to run this competition, to celebrate the contribution they make to our communities and local economy, as well as to encourage more people to pay a visit to their local high street.”
Nominations for the first round closes on Friday, August 30.
Restaurants, cafes and bakeries are not included in the contest.
