POLICE say they have stepped up patrols around a neighbourhood in the wake of reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.
Officers have been around the area of Glebe Street, Leigh due to cases of ant-social behaviour in the community.
Police have issued advice to residents encouraging them to report any issues.
A police statement said: "You may be aware that there has been a higher than normal police presence around the Glebe Street area.
"This is due to anti-social behaviour in the community.
"As you are aware your local Neighbourhood Team are in the area for you to report any issues or concerns, there are also diary sheets available from the council to fill in and return should you wish to report.
"If you are not already aware the council have installed a Rapid Deployment Camera which is monitored 24 hours by Wigan Council's CCTV team, they have also installed signs in the area advising against fly tipping and consequences regarding anybody failing to abide by the stipulated rules."
