POLICE arrested two suspected drink drivers after being called to two incidents of a car hitting a wall within hours of each other.
Shortly before 7pm on Saturday, a 54 year-old-man was arrested on Ann Street, Leigh on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol after police were called to reports of a vehicle being in collision with a wall.
Meanwhile, a few hours later shortly before 12.30am a 56-year-old woman was arrested on Car Bank Street in Atherton on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol after police were called to reports of another vehicle striking a wall.
In both incidents, no-one was injured, say police.
Elswehere, on what local police teams have described as a busy night, shortly after 2am officers on patrol in Atherton on Flapper Fold Lane arrested a 28-year-old woman on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol after a motor vehicle was stopped.
Meanwhile, a-23-year-old man, a passenger in the vehcile allegedly became aggressive towards officers and refused to leave and was arrested on suspicion of a breach of the peace.
