A MAN has been handed a suspended sentence after assaulting a woman.
Daniel Simcock, of Abbey Lane, Leigh admitted carrying out the assault when he appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court.
The 30-year-old also pleaded guilty to other charges including causing £500 worth of damage at Bickershaw Village Community Hall.
He was given a sentence of five months suspended for two years and told to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.

Simcock has been excluded from the Bickershaw Lane venue for two years and must pay compensation fees of £600 and carry out an alcohol treatment course.
