ROTARY clubs have teamed up to treat young carers from the borough to two action-packed day outs in August.
Golborne Lightshaw Rotary Club and Wigan Rotary Club members organised events for 40 children to try out a host of activities over the course of two Fridays.
The events, which were organised by leisure operator Inspiring healthy lifestyles, was held at outdoor adventure centre Scotsman's Flash in Wigan.
Carers put on wetsuits before getting into boats and enjoying the fun out on the water.

They were then given served up a barbecue before having a bonfire under a gazebo where children enjoyed toasting marshmallows.
The carers also enjoyed roaming around the centre on the second day of fun.
