LOCALS have less than a day left to have their say on proposals for the former British Heart Foundation site.
The plans for the first phase of the redevelopment of the Maltings were backed by Salisbury City Council last month, and will soon go before Wiltshire Council planners for the final decision.
But, before that, the public have been asked to give their views on the plans, which includes a 86-room hotel, gym, and new library.
The consultation closes at midnight tonight.
As reported, new artistic impression of the site were unveiled last week, which give views of both Fisherton Street and Malthouse Lane.
The pictures, created by developer Haskoll, show the library’s panoramic windows, the entrance to the 86-room hotel, as well as the new café space and public plaza.
These new designs came just a few months after the original proposal were labelled as “appalling” by county planning chiefs.

South Wiltshire recovery chief at Wiltshire Council Pauline Church said: “I would encourage local people to give their views on the redesigned scheme which includes the removal of a storey to reduce the impact on the United Reformed Church.
“The strategic planning committee will now consider the new designs and whether this important first phase of the Maltings and Central Car Park regeneration can proceed.”
