A MAN has been taken to hospital with what is believed to be serious injuries after a two car crash, which left one vehicle on its roof.
Emergency services were mobilised to New Lane in Breightmet just before 2pm after a crash involving an Audi and Chevrolet.
One of the drivers was left trapped in the vehicle following the collision and had to be freed by firefighters.
It is understood the driver was able to get out of the other vehicle without assistance.
Fire crews from Bolton North were on the scene for 45 minutes.
Watch Manager, Mark McCourt said: "We were called at 1.45pm.
"One man was trapped in the vehicle and he was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance."
Mr McCourt said that his injuries are thought to be serious.
Police stayed on the scene into late afternoon.
