Unbeaten Bromley FC have been on fire this season and the Ravens are currently sitting pretty at the top of the league.

An historic 2-1 home win over Notts County on Saturday (September 21) prompted the Hayes Lane club to ask News Shopper for a cheeky favour on Twitter.

"Good afternoon News Shopper," the tweet began. "Seeing that the other big 'local' teams lost yesterday is there any chance unbeaten, top of the table Bromley, attracting 3,000+ fans with a thriving community & youth set up, could make the back of our local paper?"

The popular tweet was liked over 180 times with some social media users suggesting it should make the front page instead.

One supporter wrote: "Don’t imagine for one second that’s where it stops. Back page this week.... we’ve moved on already - next week we want the front page. Bromley’s gonna get yer."

Bromley FC hit the front page of News Shopper twice last year after the club’s incredible run to the FA Trophy final in Wembley.

News Shopper:

Last weekend’s victory over Notts County was another famous achievement for Neil Smith's heroes who are undefeated in the Vanarama National League after 12 games.

It may be too early to dream but finishing first at the end of the season would mean Bromley FC would play in the Football League for the first time in their history.

Surely we would be treated to another cracking Dave Roberts book if that was the case but at the minute fans are simply enjoying the way the team are playing the beautiful game.

Hayes Lane attracted a crowd of 3,000 fans on Saturday in what was one of the club’s most memorable wins.

One ecstatic fan tweeted: "Was Notts County at home, as a league fixture @bromleyfc's most prestigious fixture in their history? Oh and we won, with 3000 there. Yup 3,000, which is approximately 2700 more people than when I started to support them. Mindblowing. Well done everyone behind the scenes too."

There is a long way to go but judging by the team’s start the loyal fanbase can look forward to more days to remember as the season progresses.

Will Bromley FC make the back page this week? We will have to wait and see.
