STUDENTS at The Westleigh School got behind Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday.
The Westleigh Lane school took part in the charity's World's Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for the cause.
More than £1,600 was raised for the charity across the trust through its events, which also generated awareness of cancer among students.
The school is run by Shaw Education Trust.

The trust's CEO Jo Morgan said: “As a trust we embrace the opportunity to teach our students about the life-changing work of remarkable organisations like Macmillan Cancer Support, as well as the importance of charity, volunteering and ‘giving back’.
“We couldn’t be prouder of our pupils, staff and wider school communities.
"The fantastic amount raised today is testament to the active citizenship and collaborative leadership spirit we actively promote across our network of schools.”
