FIREFIGHTERS tackled a wagon fire this afternoon, Thursday.
Two fire engines were called to Twist Lane in Leigh at around 2.40pm where a 7.5 tonne truck carrying washing machines was well alight.
An adjacent building also caught fire.

Crews extinguished the flames and were on the scene until around 3.45pm.
Police and highway services were also in attendance.
No-one was reported to have been hurt in the incident.
