A SECOND arrest has been made in connection with a shooting in Wigan.

A man in his 50s was sitting in a parked Range Rover at around 4.20pm on Thursday, September 19 when a black Audi S3 pulled up alongside him.

A shotgun was then fired at him, injuring his arm and hand.

The black Audi S3 then left the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries. He has since been released.

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.

The man has been released on bail to return at the end of the month pending further enquiries

A 28-year-old man who was previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder was bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are continuing to appeal for information following the shooting.

If you saw a black Audi S3 around the time of the shooting contact police on 0161 856 7957, quoting log 1,931 of September 19.
