A DARTS player's dream will come true in January when he walks out to the oche at a prestigious competition in London.
David Evans, of Crawford Avenue, Tyldesley will be competing in the BDO World Darts Championship for the first time.
The 29-year-old qualified for the event, which will be staged at the indigo at The O2, after making it to the quarter finals of the British Open in Bridlington in September.
David said: "It is absolutely amazing for me.
Every darts player wants to qualify for the world championships and dreams of representing themselves on TV."

The 2017 PDC Challenge Tour winner's improvement in results has taken him into the top 14 of his league, which has catapulted him onto the reserve list for the PDC Pro Tour.
This has led to David playing at elite events and showing his arrow-throwing ability against some of the world's best.
And in a Pro Tour event in Dublin earlier this month, he beat former world number one and two-time world champion Gary Anderson.
Another big scalp David has taken in the past is legendary player Phil Taylor.
Ahead of the biggest professional contest of his career, he will play in tournaments in Ireland, Czech Republic, Malta and Italy.
David's family and friends will be making the journey south in the new year to roar him on in the championships.
He added: "My family are made up. My wife Danielle could not be prouder of me - she is my number one fan."
David is sponsored by L-Style, Red Dragon Darts, Sports Icon Management and Frame Smart.
