Here are four people who avoided jail when they appeared before Swindon's courts.

A wedding photographer breached a court order banning him from unsupervised contact with under 18s and was given a second chance.

Peter Albanese broke the order just months after it was made in May this year.

It came after concerns that he was plying youngsters with booze, his employers then secretly recorded a phone call between Albanese and a boy.

Two drug dealers that were labelled ‘idiots’ by a Swindon judge but avoided jail earlier this month.

Alex Boxall, 19, and Eathan Edwards, 20, were arrested on March 28 after they were caught smoking cannabis in their cars.

Wiltshire Police found scales and deal bags underneath the seat in Boxall’s car, the police then searched both their homes.

Boxall pleaded guilty and was handed an 18-month community order and told to complete 225 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation activity days.

Edwards pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis and possession of cash acquired through drug dealing.

He was sentenced to an 18-month community order and ordered to do 250 hours of unpaid work.

A Swindon cocaine and cannabis dealer Finn Nicholson walked from court after he was caught with £500 trainers and four phones stashed in a mattress.

Wiltshire Police had raided his home and found almost £2,000 in cash, 2.6g of cocaine and 22.7g of cannabis.

He avoided jail after the police national computer record had wrongly listed him as having been convicted for dealing class A drugs.

Nicholson admitted to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.

He was sentenced to two year imprisonment which is suspended for two years and has a six-month curfew and to complete 20 rehabilitation days.

Judge Jason Taylor QC described the case as ‘shambolic’ and unsatisfactory’.
