BENTS Garden and Home is getting ready to open the doors to its brand new School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for Halloween this half term.

The Glazebury centre will be welcoming the next generation of sorcerers as they embark on their first year of magical training.

With a magical children’s meal and fancy dress, scholars at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will learn how to make potions and cast spells, as well brushing up on their wand technique and taking part in a Quiddich class, a game played in the Harry Potter series.

Classes will be running on October 22 and 29 between 4.30 and 6.30pm with tickets available to book online.

And this magical experience isn’t the only Spooktacular fun planned at Bents in the half term holidays.

Pumpkin Painting returns with workshops being held between 9am and 9.45am and 10.15 – 11am on October 24, 25, 28 and 29.

There is a free toffee apple up for grabs for any little one who visits in their scariest Halloween outfit on the day itself.

Booking is required for Pumpkin Painting with details available at bents.co.uk.

Other gory ingredients being thrown into the mix for special Halloween fun include:

• Fearsome face painting, with transformations being made on the Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the half term holidays

• Find all the characters in the Bents’ scarecrow treasure hunt and collect a sweet treat on completion.

• Critter Time returns on November 2, when creepy crawlies take centre stage and the little ones can learn all about their favourite mini beasts.

• Windy Bank Woods Winter Trail; a great way to get the little ones outside and exploring with Bents’ brand-new countryside checklist, available from Customer Services.

The school holidays run from Monday, October 21 to Friday, November 8, with events planned at Bents throughout both weeks to ensure no-one misses out on the opportunity for fun.
