A WOMAN has been charged with causing or allowing the death of a one-year-old baby girl.

Police were called to a property on Cross Lane, Radcliffe shortly after 2.25pm on Wednesday, October 16, after a one-year-old girl was reported to have been injured.

Emergency services attended and the girl was taken to hospital where she died despite the best efforts of specialist doctors.

Two people have been charged.

Jamie Chadwick, 21, of Cross Lane, Radcliffe has been charged with the murder of a one-year-old girl.

Chelsea Crilly, 19, of Warwick Road, Atherton has been charged with causing or allowing the death or serious harm of a child.

They have been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester & Salford Magistrates’ Court, later today Saturday, October 19.

"Specially trained police officers are with the family and are doing everything they can to support them through this dreadful time."
