Two leading Cumbrian restaurants have been named among the top 10 in the UK by Tripadvisor users.
L’Enclume in Cartmel has been named the UK’s third best-rated restaurant in the fine dining category, 13th in Europe and 19th in the world, while The Old Stamp House Restaurant in Ambleside was placed seventh best in the UK.
The accolades are the latest honours to be awarded to the two restaurants in recent weeks.
L'Enclume and its chef patron Simon Rogan retained its two Michelin stars earlier this month, while The Old Stamp House, which is owned by chef Ryan Blackburn, a former MasterChef: The Professionals contestant, was among three Cumbrian restaurants to be awarded a first Michelin star.
