SIX takeaways in Leigh and the surrounding areas have been handed five-star food hygiene ratings this year.
Results published by the Food Standards Agency also show the only takeaway in the borough that has a zero-star rating is Farz's on High Street in Golborne.
The business was last inspected in August last year when it was discovered major improvements were needed in its management of food safety and its cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.

Mr Pizza, Chapel Street, Leigh
Mumbai Kitchen, Railway Road, Leigh
It's Pizza, Atherton Road, Hindley Green
Chinese Kitchen Tyldesley, Stour Road, Tyldesley
