THE new Lidl superstore in Golborne has opened its doors.
The ribbon was cut at the Lidl shop to officially launch the new premises.
The new supermarket forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion and regeneration plans in the UK which will see it open more than 50 new stores a year. The sales area of the supermarket is 1,265m² and facilities including a bakery, customer toilets, baby changing and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
Up to 40 new jobs have also been created for the community, says Lidl.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property, Nick Harvey, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in improving our Lidl store offering in Golborne. It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community once again.”
