A 37-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with a theft from a car.
Officers received a call from a member of public at around 4am today (Saturday) who reported seeing a man trying car doors on Shelley Street in Leigh.
Police, along with dog patrol assistance, searched the area.
Officers found a suspect with a number of items in his possession.
These consisted of music CDs and toiletry items. An arrest was made in connection to the incident.
Police have since charged a 37-year-old man with theft from a motor vehicle and vehicle interference.
He will attend Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 4.
