A NURSERY has been rated "outstanding" for the third time in a row.

Little Rainbows Nursery on Guest Street in Leigh was given top marks in all areas after an inspection by education regulator Ofsted.

In her report, inspector Daphne Carr noted how “this inspirational nursery put the children at the very heart” of the nursery.

She said “Teaching is first-class. The children are incredibly respectful to each other and staff.

"Their behaviour is impeccable. Staff are excellent role models.”

The nursery has been commended by its training provider for the support and skills they give to their staff.

It is consistently call upon by Wigan Council to showcase its work with children to other settings in the area.

Director of parent company, St Bede Childcare Ltd, Kimberley Dearden said: “I am immensely proud of nursery manager Christine and her team at Little Rainbows.

"Once again they have shown what an amazing team they are and just how special the nursery is."

"Achieving 'outstanding' in itself is a huge achievement but to receive this three consecutive times and in the first few weeks of Ofsted’s new inspection framework is something we are keen to shout about!"
