Co-chairwoman of Act III Community Acting Group Linda Davies said “This was a truly local project, involving local writers, local actors, local theatre, and with local businesses used for printing, photography, and supplies.”

Co-chairwoman of the acting group Loraine Knockton said: “The event was so popular, with all tickets sold in just a few days.

"Next year we plan to work with local scriptwriters as they write their scripts so that they can see their words come to life with our actors before they submit them for the competition."

The acting group is for people over 50. They meet on Wednesdays at Astley and Tyldesley Methodist Church on Elliott Street from 2pm to 4pm with new members welcome.
