WIGAN & Leigh College has been ranked joint seventh in the overall college league table.
The NICDEX ratings are compiled annually by FE Week and scores more than 170 further education colleges across the country.
Colleges are ranked in four categories which include Learner Satisfaction, Employer Satisfaction, 16-18 Positive Progression and Adults into Employment.
The result makes the college the highest placed in Greater Manchester for its overall score.
Scoring highly across all criteria, the college managed an impressive 9/10 for learner satisfaction.
This follows on from the announcement earlier in the year that the College came in the top eight per cent nationally in a FE Choices Survey for student satisfaction.
Wigan & Leigh College Principal, Anna Dawe, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the College and all of its students and staff.
“Our aim is always to provide more than just a qualification so to achieve such high student and employer satisfaction rates and most importantly, ensure that our learners move onto higher study and into employment is something to be especially proud of."
