THE funeral of Widnes-born former Saints and Great Britain hooker Tony Karalius will take place next Tuesday, 10 December at 1.30pm at St Bedes Church, Widnes.
Karalius, who played more than 350 games for Saints between 1967-78 before moving on to Wigan, Fulham and Cardiff, passed away last week.
Karalius was Wembley winner in 1976, when the Saints team dubbed Dads Arms defeated favourites Widnes 22-5 in the baking heat.
Brother of rugby league hall of fame member Vince, Tony was part of the last Great Britain squad to win the World Cup in 1972.
After retiring from playing, he continued to work in his scrap business and coached at Widnes Tigers.
