THIS picture of Market Place in Leigh was taken around 1964.
The photograph, which looks down from above, shows shops and a range of market stalls set up. It is a hive of activity as traders are serving customers.
The road shows a queue of traffic with people crossing the busy town centre road at a pedestrian crossing.
What are your memories of the Market Place stalls? Do you remember going there to see what bargains were on offer at the time?
Feel free to let us know what memories you have.
