POLICE have arrested two men and a woman after responding to an early-morning incident in the town centre.
At 2.30am this morning, Wednesday, police were called to Wilson Patten Street following a report of an altercation involving a group of people.
Officers arrested a 29-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm.
As part of ongoing enquiries, they have since arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm in connection with the incident.
Officers have also arrested a 38-year-old woman on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent after attending a nightclub in Bridge Street in the town centre earlier last night.
