A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to after a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a bus.

The victim was travelling on the M2 bus from Southbourne to The Triangle in Bournemouth at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

A man got on the bus and sat down next to her before touching her inappropriately on her leg over her clothing.

Police said the girl got off the bus at The Triangle and did not see if the man also left.

Police Constable Sam Perry, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and have been supporting the victim.

“As part of our enquiries, we have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to as part of our investigation.

“I appreciate it is not the best quality image but would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
