A MAN who was nearly two times over the drink driving limit has been handed a suspended sentence.
Ronald Howarth, of Atherton Road, Hindley was over the limit when he drove a Ford Transit van in Wigan on December 8 last year.
The 44-year-old was also behind the wheel of the van despite being disqualified.

He was given an eight-week sentence suspended for one year and has been banned from driving for four years which may be reduced by 48 weeks if he completes a course.
Howarth must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, complete a rehabilitation course and pay a victims services surcharge fee of £122 and £85 court costs.
He was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
