THIS picture of Market Street in Atherton taken around 1965 shows the former Savoy Cinema.
The cinema closed in 1967 before becoming a bingo hall and then a snooker hall.
It is now the home of Golden Dance Studios.
The photograph also shows the Punch Bowl shop on the right.
An advert for hot drink Ovaltine can be seen in the distance on the wall of a shop, which is on the corner with Sumner Street.
Cars and a bus are on view on the town centre street.
