FLOOD warnings put in place due to Storm Ciara have been extended today, Monday.
A warning had previously been put in place at Arpley Bridge, with a possibility of flooding on Chester Road.
While this remains in place, further flood warnings have now been issued at Victoria Park and Fiddlers Ferry.
Flood is ‘expected’ in these areas, with ‘immediate action required’.
High tides are due to peak along the Mersey in the early afternoon.

The water is predicted to be higher than usual as a result of high spring tides and strong winds.
Similar conditions are expected to continue until after the high tides in the early hours of tomorrow, Tuesday.
A government spokesman said: “We are closely monitoring the situation.
“Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary.
“Please be careful along coastal footpaths and roads.”
