THIS is the shocking damage caused after a tree fell onto a car in Grappenhall during Storm Ciara.
The tree was brought down on Barrymore Road at around midday yesterday, Sunday, and landed on a parked Skoda Fabia after high winds battered the town.
Thankfully, no occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
New pictures from the scene after the removal of the tree have now been revealed, showing the extent of the huge damage caused to the crushed car – a 69 plate motor which was only months old.
The entire back of the roof of the vehicle collapsed into the rear of the car under the weight of fallen tree.
