A FIRE involving a quantity of rubbish broke out on the first floor of an abandoned house yesterday afternoon, Tuesday.
Three fire engines were sent to an end of terrace property on Westleigh Lane in Leigh at around 4.35pm and used breaking equipment to get into the house.

Crews used breathing equipment and a hose reel to battle the flames and were in attendance for around 40 minutes.
No-one was reported to have been hurt in the blaze.
Police were also in attendance.
