WARRINGTON Borough Council has given the green light for new homes to be built in Orford.
Acorn House, an industrial unit on Houghton Street, will be demolished in order to make way for a row of four terraced houses.
The site, which borders Brickfields Park, is currently home to children’s nursery Little Acorns.
A development of three-bedroom homes would be similar to the neighbouring properties constructed around a decade a row, including gardens.
Eight car parking spaces are also planned.
The council approved an application for planning permission for the scheme on Friday, February 7.
