THREE councillors who took part in a Movember challenge last year have handed over £500 to a cause that helps young people with their mental health.
Atherton councillors Jamie Hodgkinson, James Paul Watson and Stuart Gerrard went clean-shaven at the start of November 2019 before growing moustaches in aid of the Willow Project.
The charity provides a counselling service for children and young people from six to 19, who are affected by emotional and mental health issues.
And after receiving donations, Cllr Hodgkinson and Cllr Watson went to the charity's Bolton Road base yesterday, Wednesday, to give the organisation the money.

In a statement, the Atherton representatives added: "As councillors we want to thank the community of Atherton for supporting us with our Movember challenge to raise funds for this well deserved charity."
