A MAN has been handed a community order after assaulting two policemen.
Wayne Clarkson, of Redfield Croft, Leigh assaulted the officers in the town on Boxing Day last year.
The 31-year-old must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and complete a rehabilitation course.

Clarkson has also been ordered to pay £100 in compensation, a £90 victim services surcharge fee and £85 in court costs.
He was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
