THE Denholme murder trial will resume this afternoon.
Three of the seven men accused of the murder of Mohammed Feazan Ayaz gave evidence in court last week. Raheel Khan, 27, of no fixed address; Suleman Khan, 20, of Sandford Road, Bradford Moor, Bradford and Robert Wainwright, 26, of Mannville Terrace, Bradford city centre, all plead not guilty to the murder of Mr Ayaz, nicknamed Fizzy.
Meanwhile, Junaid Hussain, 28, of Silverhill Road, Bradford Moor; Stephen Queeney, 34, of Junction Row, Bolton Road, Bradford, who also deny his murder chose to give no evidence.
Shaoib Shafiq, 20, of Gladstone Street, Bradford Moor, and a 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, plead not guilty to assisting an offender.
Mr Ayz, 20, of Duckworth Grove, Manningham, died from a traumatic head injury after he was stripped naked, punched, slapped and kicked to humiliate him, the jury has already been told.
Richard Wright QC, prosecuting, will give his closing speech to the jury from 2.30pm today at Bradford Crown Court.
This will be followed by each of the counsels for the seven defendants giving their closing speeches, before trial judge, Mr Justice Goss, sums up the case.
