PLANS have been approved to turn a former church into flats.
A change-of-use application to convert the Golborne Baptist Church site on Charles Street into four flats and turn the former Sunday school building into a house with a mezzanine floor has been granted.
The red brick site was sold in an auction last June for £90,000.

A Wigan Council planning report said: "The proposals will secure the retention of a prominent and attractive building and bring it back into use."
No objections were made against the plans.
