EARLIER this month, pupils carried out a science project in response to the succession of storms that have hit the UK recently.
Tyldesley Primary School Year 1 pupils made rain gauges from scrap and recycled plastic before measuring the weather during British Science Week.

The youngsters created the rain gauges on Monday, March 9 and checked the rainfall in the following four days.
They discussed the measuring tools they created and noted their observations of the weather throughout the week including the temperature, cloud cover, cloud type and the amount of rain that fell.
